🛠️ Tools - see the gifs for a short demo

Tome.app - Beautiful ai-generated presentations

• Tome is positioning itself as the new Ai-powered storytelling format. You type something and it’ll autogenerate a presentation about it.

• I asked it to autogenerate tips for growing an ai newsletter (asking for a friend). The content itself was okay but not mind-blowing.

• The experience however is super smooth. Drag and drop and auto-formatting are a delight.

• Possible dealbreaker: it doesn’t export to powerpoint. Or keynote. Or anything. The CEO says, “a lot of the magic in Tome is live data and interactivity”. Your coworkers might disagree. In any case, users can share a live link (example).

• Check it out if you’re interested in a powerpoint replacement and your audience is tech-savvy

• Speak fluent viral twitter. Very easy to use and could be very helpful if you’re looking to grow your Twitter audience!

Promptpal Al - The best prompts to get the most out of ChatGPT

• ChatGPT is only as good as your prompts, and its launch sprouted a ton of “prompt library” applications. This is one of them.

• Instead of using it as a reference, I suggest you read through some to understand what makes a good prompt, there’s a pattern.
  1. Provide context
  2. Hype ChatGPT up, i.e. telling it how smart it is by adding “you are the world’s smartest man” et cetera
  3. ???
  4. Profit

EditGPT - Easily proofread, edit, and track changes to ChatGPT

• 📝 It’s ”track changes” for ChatGPT and, just like its Word-equivalent, it’s useful and makes you wonder why ChatGPT doesn’t just have it built-in.

• Great for anyone who writes, proofreads or otherwise uses words

• Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☆

😎 New & Cool - stay in the know

• Pretty epic demo from RunwayML Gen 1 - text to video from RunwayML’s first gen application. The entire video above is AI-generated.
  

• Zoom released a smart AI tool - If you turn up late to a meeting, you’ll be able to have a meeting summary generated; chat threads will be summarized. Nice.

• Canva launched cool AI magic tools - Canva has been really great on AI adoption. Nice to see them continuing their mission of making design accessible in this way.

📚 Watch, Learn, Read, Listen, …

• YouTube: How do LLMs like ChatGPT work? - great 10 min video explaining the basics in a way that you won’t fall asleep. 
  
  I personally recommend watching this and then retorically asking people “do you actually know how ChatGPT works?” and then answering your own question, baffling everyone with your intelligence. You’re welcome.
  

• YouTube: How ChatGPT is Trained - kind of like a followup to the above if you’re hungry for more.

• Podcast: Sequoia Capital’s Pat Grady and Sonya Huang on Generative AI, Nvidia AI podcast - Pat and Sonya offer a great take on the evolution of generative AI and how small companies compete with large ones in this growth area.
